What you can do
Connect your own Claude, ChatGPT or other AI tool to your insightboard.io workspace and ask about your calls, reps, funnel and coaching recommendations in plain language. For example:
- How did my team do last week, and who should I coach on what?
- What should Anna work on? Show me her weakest calls.
- Review my last call with Acme — what did I miss?
- Prepare me for my next call with John from Acme.
- Make Anna a practice call on the "too expensive" and "send me an email" objections.
Ready-made prompts are included too: weekly team review, coach a rep, review a call, prepare for a contact and compare two periods. Look for them in your AI tool's prompts or slash-command menu.
Before you start
- An admin turns on Allow AI connectors in the AI connectors section of the Integrations page. It is off by default.
- To let people share call and meeting transcripts with their AI tool, the admin also turns on Include transcripts.
- Each person then connects their own account; nobody shares a key.
Every AI tool uses the same connector:
- Connector URL:
https://insightboard.io/api/agent/mcp - Authentication: OAuth — no API key or client secret needed.
Claude
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.
- Name it insightboard.io and paste the connector URL above. Leave the OAuth Client ID and Client Secret under Advanced settings empty, then click Add.
- Click Connect next to insightboard.io, sign in to insightboard.io and approve access.
- Start a chat and turn insightboard.io on in the tools menu. On Claude Team and Enterprise, an owner may need to add the connector for the organization first.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
- Go back to Apps and click Create app.
- Name it insightboard.io, paste the connector URL above into MCP Server URL, set Authentication to OAuth, confirm that you trust the app and click Create.
- ChatGPT opens insightboard.io — sign in and approve access.
- In a new chat, click + → More and pick insightboard.io. Developer mode needs a paid ChatGPT plan; on Business and Enterprise a workspace admin may need to allow it.
Claude Code
- Add the connector from your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http insightboard https://insightboard.io/api/agent/mcp
- In Claude Code, run
/mcp, pick insightboard and authenticate. Your browser opens — sign in to insightboard.io and approve access.
Cursor, VS Code and other MCP tools
- Add a remote MCP server (HTTP) with the connector URL above. If asked for an authentication method, choose OAuth.
- When the app opens your browser, sign in to insightboard.io and approve access.
In Cursor, for example, add this to your MCP config:
{
"mcpServers": {
"insightboard": {
"url": "https://insightboard.io/api/agent/mcp"
}
}
}What the AI tool can access
- It reads this workspace's calls, meetings, scores, summaries, contacts and recommendations — only what you can already see in insightboard.io.
- Transcripts are included only if your admin allows them and you choose to share them when you connect. Every transcript read is recorded in the Activity Log.
- When you ask, it can save practice objections and create practice links for training. Claude and ChatGPT ask you before each of these, and they use insight tokens. It never changes or deletes anything.
Disconnect
- Open Integrations, pick the AI tool and click Disconnect next to the connection. It loses access immediately.
- Admins see every connection in the workspace and can disconnect any of them.
- Turning Allow AI connectors off disconnects every connected AI tool in the workspace.
